Virginia Tech 13 - Texas A&M 3

The Hokies were far from home Saturday morning when the sun rose on a beautiful day at the Del Lago resort in Texas where the team was staying.

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and this flag that covered the field during pregame ceremonies certainly was!

Speaking of big, the crowd of 83,746 at Texas A&M was the biggest to ever see a Virginia Tech football game.

Kevin Jones, who rushed for 48 yards on 15 carries, and the Hokies were hoping to make a big statement against the 19th-ranked Aggies.

An estimated 5,000 excited Hokie fans were also on hand for the game at legendary Kyle Field.

Defense was the order of the day, and the Tech defense came out strong.
