Virginia Tech 48 - Rutgers 22

For the Hokies' first road trip of the season, per new FAA regulations, everyone was screened by TSA employees before boarding the buses in Blacksburg.

As in the past, the travel party boards the Air Miami charter 727-200, after the buses drove right up to the plane on the tarmac.

Flying out of the Roanoke Valley, the Hokies were treated to a nice view of the beautiful mountains.

And flying into Newark, the team enjoyed a nice view of the impressive New York City skyline.

After giving up a touchdown to Rutgers early, it didn't take the Hokies long to answer, as Chris Shreve scored on a 28-yard reception to knot the score at seven.

On the day, Bryan Randall was 16-of-22 passing for 250 yards and four touchdowns, and he added 24 yards on the grounds as well.
