Virginia Tech 51 - Syracuse 7

Vinnie Burns had a great day for the Hokies, averaging 46.8 yards on four punts, keeping Tech in good field position.

The one-sided game had the cheerleaders flipping upside-down on the field.

Hall hit the trifecta with a third touchdown in the third quarter, this one coming on a 24-yard reverse.

Cols Colas and company held QB R.J. Anderson and the Orange offense to 172 total yards while the Hokies gained 439.

Carter Warley's third field goal of the game made the final score 51-7, and gave 6-0 and fourth-ranked Tech another big conference win.

The Hokies did shake their tail feathers on ESPN, as the sign said, and as usual. In fact with the win over Syracuse, Tech is now 23-4 all-time in games televised by ESPN.
