Virginia Tech 21 - Virgnia 35

The Hokies took the field in Charlottesville as defending four-time winner of the Commonwealth Cup, given to the winner of the annual Tech-Uva rivalry.

Kevin Jones scored Tech's first touchdown of the game to tie the score at seven in the first quarter.

Brandon Manning and the Hokie defense played well in the first half, holding the Wahoos scoreless after their opening touchdown.

Cols Colas and Nathaniel Adibi got to Uva quarterback Matt Schaub on this play, but the reigning ACC player of the year hit 32 of 46 passes for 358 yards against the Hokies.

In this contest, the Hokies couldn't seem to take advantage of opportunities, such as this fumble that the Wahoos would recover.

When they did, penalties overturned plays, such as on this great punt return by DeAngelo Hall that was negated by a call.
