December 26 - Day Six: GAME DAY!

Coach Frank Beamer and the Hokies came out fired up to face the tough California Bears in the Insight Bowl in Tech's 11th straight bowl appearance.

The pyrotechnics set off atop Bank One Ballpark might have been a sign of the offensive fireworks to come.

Not long after the game started, the roof of the magnificent structure was closed making it the first time a college football game was played partially indoors and partially outdoors.

As a receiver, Marcus Vick made some great plays for the Hokies, including this one that got them down to the 4-yard line.

Bryan Randall dove in from two yards out for Tech's first score of the game.

The Tech defense stopped the Bears a couple of times in the first quarter to enable the Hokies to take a lead.
