Virginia Tech 67 - #7 Duke 65
February 17, 2005 - Cassell Coliseum |

Virginia Tech fans were in great form from the time the Hokies took
the court to take on No. 7 Duke.
|

The team, too, came together with exceptional poise, demonstrating
purpose and a sense of urgency.
|

Coach Krzyzewski and his Blue Devils quickly found out that they were
in for a battle.
|

Both Duke and Tech played hard-nose defense, and Deron Washington
found that there were no easy baskets.
|

Tech's lone senior, Carlos Dixon, provided great leadership in
getting the Hokies off to a good start.
