Virginia Tech 67 - #7 Duke 65
February 17, 2005 - Cassell Coliseum
The student section of Cassell Coliseum was a sea of orange, and as the game went down to the wire the noise was defeaning.
With 32 seconds left and the game tied, Gordon tipped in a rebound to put the Hokies on top 64-62.
Redick, one of the best shooters in the country, then stroked a three to put Duke up by one with 23 seconds to play.
Dowdell answered that with a game-winning three-pointer with 16 seconds left, and Tech stopped Duke on two chances to win 67-65.
