Hardee's Star Of The Week
For The 2013-14 Season

Maggie Tyler (Softball, Soph., Poquoson, Va.)
Tyler was a big cog in Virginia Tech's 5-0 week, all five of which were conference wins. She opened the week with a four-hit shutout of Pittsburgh where she struck out seven and followed that up with another shutout on Saturday in the second game of the Virginia doubleheader. In that game, she struck out a career-high 10 batters and allowed just four hits. In the Sunday game, she picked up the win in five innings, striking out five. For the week, she went 3-0 with a 0.74 ERA, two shutouts, 22 strikeouts against no walks with three runs allowed (two earned) and just 14 hits given up.
