Hardee's Star Of The Week
For The 2011-2012 Season

Monet Tellier (Women's Basketball, So., Charlotte, N.C.)

Tellier led the Hokies to a 75-69 win over No. 8/7 Maryland with a career-high tying 31 points, including a career-high five three pointers while shooting 10-of-11 from the free throw line. It is the second time this season Tellier hit the mark. She is just the second ACC player to score 30+ points twice this season. The win was the first time Tech has recorded a win against a top-eight team since 1998. She sparked a run with back-to-back threes that helped the Hokies push past the Terrapins. The sophomore guard turned in one of her best free throw shooting performance weeks of the season, hitting 90.5 percent (19-21). Tellier also led the Hokies in scoring against Miami and NC State with 18 and 16 points, respectively. She averaged 21.7 points on the week.
