High School: Was a four-year letterman for Coach Billy Emerson at Paul VI, where he captained the team to a state championship as a senior while setting school records in batting average (.483), on-base percentage (.583), home runs (seven) and RBIs (34) … Was named the Virginia Independent Schools player of the year, as well as to the All-Met, All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and All-Fairfax teams … A member of the 2009 Baseball Clearinghouse All-National Team … Helped Paul VI to the WCAC championship in 2007 and to the state playoffs in 2008 … As a junior, batted .418 with 28 RBIs and two home runs while drawing a school-record 26 walks.
