2010: Made one start and pitched in six games total … Won his only decision and posted a 10.13 ERA … Threw 5.1 innings and struck out four batters … Made his Hokie debut in game three at Charleston Southern, pitching a perfect eighth inning ... Gave up two runs on two hits and two walks in an inning of work versus Long Island on March 7 ... Registered his first strikeout on March 9 versus Bryant, while allowing a run on a hit and a walk in one inning of relief ... Entered in relief versus Columbia on March 15 and lasted just a third of an inning before taking a line drive off his elbow and exiting the game ... Saw his next action with a scoreless inning at East Tennessee State on March 31 ... Started against NC Central and threw one inning as part of a combined shutout ... Because it was predetermined that Tech would throw five pitchers in the game, he was eligible for his first victory as a Hokie.

Cuesta College: Before transferring to Tech, played the 2009 season for Coach Bob Miller at Cuesta Community College in San Luis Obispo, Calif., the same school that senior Mike Kaminski played at before coming to Tech … Was named the Western State Conference Pitcher of the Year after going 8-1 with a save in 107 innings pitched … Tossed three complete games and finished with a 3.41 ERA and 76 strikeouts.

Hawaii: Spent the 2008 season at Hawaii, where he made one appearance on the mound.

High School: Lettered three years for Coach Mike Kelly at Carmel High, where the team was a three-time league champion and a three-time Central Coast section champion … Was named all-county as a senior and all-league as a senior and a junior … Earned a 22-3 record over his career … Pitched 68 innings as a senior, throwing two complete games in just three starts and earning seven saves … Struck out 90 and had a 2.20 ERA.
