Men selected to finish sixth in ACC Preseason Poll
Women tabbed to finish eight

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Virginia Tech men’s cross country team was picked to finish sixth in the league while the women were selected to finish eighth in a poll of the league’s head coaches as announced by the ACC on Thursday afternoon.

The men finished in fifth at the ACC Championships led by a second-place finish from Thomas Curtin. Curtin went on to compete at nationals. The women, who finished eighth at last years ACC Championships were lead by Courtney Dobbs and Sarah Rapp, who finished in 11th and 13th places, respectively. Rapp went on to compete in the NCAA Championships as well.

The men return 10 members from last year’s squad why the women welcome back 10 people. The Hokies open competition on Friday, Sept. 5 when they host the Hokie Invite.

The 2014 ACC cross country predicted order of finish by the league head coaches is as follows:
