The Virginia Tech football program will be holding the first of two open scrimmages this Saturday inside Lane Stadium.
Practice begins at 4 p.m., with the scrimmage starting after 4:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to attend, but are allowed to sit in the west stands only. Also, videotaping is strictly prohibited.
The only other open scrimmage to the public is on Wednesday, Aug. 22 and that practice will begin at 4 p.m. also
Fans can enter through gates 4 and 5 only. No fans will be allowed on the field following the scrimmage. Concession stands and the bookstore souvenir shop will be open on the West side only.
Tech, ranked 20th in the preseason USA Today Coaches Poll, takes on Georgia Tech on Monday, Sept. 3 at 8 pm at Lane Stadium. Tickets are still available due to Georgia Tech returning some of its allotment. For more information, click here.
