Well, this is the end of our 2012 VT Football Camp Confidential coverage. Virginia Tech essentially wrapped up its preseason with a scrimmage last Saturday and continues to focus on its opening game against Georgia Tech.
The intention of our blog was to provide you, the reader, with an extensive behind-the-scenes look at what transpires during the Hokies’ first few weeks of practices in August. We weren’t looking to do just scrimmage stories and stats. Instead, we wanted to showcase important areas of the programs, such as strength and conditioning, nutrition, sports medicine and others. In addition, we provided observations of practices, quotes from players and coaches, photos and videos.
We understand there were some issues with the videos. As most of you know, we spent the better part of a year redesigning hokiesports.com, and we tried to anticipate problems and glitches. Unfortunately, the issue with the videos was not one we anticipated, but one that we expect to get fixed in the very near future. We apologize for any inconvenience.
It took the hard work of a lot of people to provide this coverage, and we’d like to point a few out – associate director of athletics communication Bryan Johnston, webmaster Damian Salas, assistant director of athletic communications Rachel Perrault, assistant director of broadcasting Andrew Allegretta, photographer David Knachel and the entire video staff. Their hard work is to be commended.
Going forward, we anticipate doing more projects like this one. We feel we have a good website and a good team and look forward to providing you with information on Tech athletics that you can’t get anywhere else.
That said, opening kickoff is only days away! We’ll see you at the stadium!
