Virginia Tech redshirt sophomore outside linebacker Ronny Vandyke, listed as No. 1 on the depth chart, suffered a sprained right shoulder in Saturday’s practice. He spent the rest of the practice with ice on the shoulder and his arm in a sling.
On Sunday, Associate Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine Mike Goforth said Vandyke was “not in as much pain today as he thought he would be in.”
Goforth said Vandyke will be limited in practice this week and an MRI will be performed.
