2012: Worked with the scout team as a tight end, but didn’t dress for any games … Added size and strength on the way to Iron Hokie honors during the off-season program … Moved to fullback for spring drills … Had a 10-yard reception in the spring game.
2011: Continued to work hard on the scout team, but did not dress for any games … Went through off-season strength and conditioning … Ran well during testing.
2010: Joined the team as a walk-on in January … Ran a 4.65 in the 40 during off-season testing … Also turned in a 375-pound front squat … Picked up some valuable reps during the spring … Named to the 2010-11 ACC Academic Honor Roll.
High School: Lettered two seasons as a quarterback for Coach Pete Mutascio at Cosby High School … Passed for 1,500 yards and rushed for 650 yards during his senior season … Passed for 405 yards and five touchdowns in a game against Manchester … Also ran for two TDs in that game … Finished his career with over 2,500 yards passing and more than 1,150 yards rushing … Also accounted for 33 passing touchdowns … Was first-team all-district and second-team all-Metro as a senior.
