2009: Saw action in every regular season game … Started on the kickoff and punt teams and backed up on two other teams … Was in for 13 special team plays against Alabama, collecting a pair of tackles … Also had two tackles on 12 plays in the Marshall game … Posted four tackles on special teams in the Hokies’ win against Nebraska and had two more while playing 12 special team plays against Miami … Was in for nine special team plays at Duke … Contributed a tackle and eight special team plays at Georgia Tech … Repeated those numbers in the North Carolina game … Was in on a tackle during 12 special team plays at ECU … Picked up two tackles and graded over 90 percent on two special team units against both Maryland and NC State … Injured his left knee in the Virginia game and was unable to play in the bowl game … Missed off-season workouts … Was unable to participate in contact work during spring practice.

2007: Saw his first action on special teams against East Carolina ... Got nine plays at receiver at LSU ... Caught his first pass, good for nine yards, against Ohio ... Also had two tackles on special teams in that game ... Had a catch for nine yards while playing 10 snaps at receiver ... Downed a punt inside the 20 against both W&M and UNC ... Collected two tackles during 17 special team plays at Clemson ... Contributed two more tackles on special teams at Duke and saw two snaps at receiver ... Graded 100 percent on one special team unit ... Collected two tackles on special teams at GT ... Was on the receiving end of a key two-point conversion pass against FSU ... Also had two tackles on special teams versus the ‘Noles ... Downed two kicks inside the 20 and contributed a special team tackle in the win over Miami ...
