May 30, 2002

BLACKSBURG, VA - Affiliate stations in Bristol and Charlottesville have joined the Virginia Tech ISP Sports Radio Network, both signing agreements to carry all live play-by-play broadcasts of Hokie football and men's basketball for the next three years.

WFHG-FM (92.7) and WFHG-AM (980) in Bristol, and WKAV-AM (1400) in Charlottesville, are the newest members of the largest collegiate sports radio network in the Commonwealth.

In addition to live game coverage, the stations will carry the "Advance Auto Parts Hokie Hotline" call-in shows featuring football coach Frank Beamer and men's basketball coach Ricky Stokes, as well as the daily "Davenport Virginia Tech Trivia Quiz" throughout the year.

"We are delighted to have these outstanding stations as part of the Virginia Tech family," Taylor Durham, Network Recruitment Manager for ISP Sports, says. "These partnerships, when coupled with the rest of our broadcast network, allow us to continue to provide outstanding coverage of Virginia Tech sports to Hokie fans throughout the Commonwealth and the region."
