BIG EAST Announces Long-Term Football Schedule Changes
Changes take effect for 2005 season

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The BIG EAST Conference has announced changes to its conference football schedule rotation beginning with the 2005 season. That is the season league newcomer Connecticut will join as a football-playing member.

In odd years, beginning in 2005, Virginia Tech will host BIG EAST opponents Boston College, Pittsburgh and Miami at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field. In even years, beginning in 2006, the Hokies' home conference opponents will be Connecticut, Rutgers, Syracuse and West Virginia.

The Hokies will host Pittsburgh two consecutive years (2004 and 2005) and travel to Syracuse two times in a row (2004 and 2005) to balance the new rotation.
