Starting Times Set For First Four Games

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced the starting times of the Hokies' first four 2003 football games on Friday. Tech also confirmed the starting time for its fifth game, an Oct. 4 visit to Rutgers.

Tech is scheduled to open its season on Sunday, Aug. 31 with a 3 p.m., home game with the University of Central Florida. That game will be televised nationally by ESPN. The Hokies will face James Madison at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field in a 1 p.m., game on Sept. 6, then play host to Texas A&M in a 7:30 ESPN Thursday night game on Sept. 18. Tech will conclude its season-opening, four-game homestand with a noon game against UConn on Sept. 27.

The Tech squad's first road game will be a noon contest at Rutgers on Oct. 4. Additional times for home games will be released as they become available.
