BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech athletics department announced Friday morning that the No. 7 jersey of former Tech great Michael Vick will be retired in a special ceremony on Worsham Field prior to Tech's 2:30 p.m., game against Louisiana State University on Sunday.

The ceremony will be held at approximately 2:15, and will include head coach Frank Beamer, along with director of athletics Jim Weaver, University President Dr. Charles Steger, Vick and members of his family.

Vick's jersey will be retired, but under Virginia Tech's new policy, the No. 7 will continue to be worn in the future. Tech currently retires jerseys, but no longer retires numbers.
