Davis to play versus Rutgers
September 17, 2001

Tech defensive end Jim Davis practiced in a blue jersey last week (limited drills), but will be free to go full speed in practice starting with Monday's practice. Davis missed Tech's game against Western Michigan because of a bulging disk in his back.

"He'll be back full today and it's good to have him back," Tech head coach Frank Beamer said on the BIG EAST teleconference.

The only player questionable for Tech's game this Saturday against Rutgers is reserve whip T.J. Jackson (hamstring strain). Emmett Johnson (strained quad), Matt Wincek (sprained wrist) and Jake Houseright (flu, cold) may miss some practice time this week, but are scheduled to play. Also, Richard Johnson, a receiver/kick returner, is back after missing some time last week with a hamstring injury.
