Noon Kickoff For Hokies and WVU
ESPN selects early kickoff for Oct. 2 football game

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday that the Oct. 2 football game between West Virginia and Virginia Tech at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field in Blacksburg, Va., will begin at noon and will be televised by ESPN. ESPN selected the time for the kickoff for televising purposes.

The contest will mark the 50th meeting between the Mountaineers and Hokies with WVU leading 28-20-1. WVU has won the last two meetings in the battle for the Black Diamond Trophy.

West Virginia, ranked sixth in the nation in The Associated Press poll and 3-0 on the season, plays host to James Madison this weekend while Tech (2-1) hosts N.C. State.
