Williams, Imoh out for Temple
October 23, 2002

Tech's Tuesday practice turned out to be a rough one for the Hokies as defensive tackle Jimmy E. Williams and tailback Mike Imoh suffered injuries that will keep them out of Saturday's game against Temple.

Williams, a junior-college defensive lineman from Memphis by way of Pasadena City [Calif.] College, re-injured the left ankle that he sprained few weeks ago and he also suffered a knee sprain. The injuries occurred during the Hokies' middle drill. He'll continue treatment of the injuries in hopes of being back for the Pittsburgh game.

Imoh, the freshman from Fairfax, Va., sprained his right ankle during a pass-skeleton drill in Tuesday's practice. He has been placed in a protective boot, which he will wear until Friday and will undergo therapy twice a day. He too hopes to be ready for the Pittsburgh game.

As announced earlier this week, the Hokies will be without backer Vegas Robinson, who suffered an ankle injury against Rutgers.
