Nate Lambeth, Executive Officer of The Marching Virginians, Laura Mullins, Public Relations Officer of The Marching Virginians, along with Bryan Randall, Honorary Chairman of the 8th annual "Hokies for the Hungry" food drive.
The Marching Virginians will sponsor a massive canned food drive in conjunction with the Virginia Tech vs. University of Maryland football game on Thursday, November 18, 2004. The goal of the ambitious eighth annual HOKIES FOR THE HUNGRY drive is to collect 65,115 cans of food - One Can from Every Fan!

Bryan Randall, record-setting quarterback for the Virginia Tech Hokies, is serving as Honorary Chairman of HOKIES FOR THE HUNGRY. "This is the time of year that many of us get together with friends and family to celebrate the holiday season," said Randall. "There are many families and individuals in our region who are less fortunate, and this is a wonderful opportunity to share with them. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I hope fans of both Tech and Maryland will contribute to this wonderful cause during the start of the holiday season."

Drop-off points for HOKIES FOR THE HUNGRY will be established at all four corners of Lane Stadium and at the Marching Virginians' practice field at the corner of Southgate Drive and Spring Road (across from Lane Stadium), and various locations near the stadium where Tailgate Pep Bands will be performing prior to kick- off.

All contributions will be distributed through the Montgomery County Christmas Store.
