BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech football team returned to the practice field Thursday for the first time since its lost at Syracuse last Saturday. The team will take off tomorrow while the jayvee team plays Hargrave, then will resume practice on Saturday.

On the injury front, Kevin Jones (left hamstring) and Vegas Robinson (left ankle) returned to the field for limited contact. Both are expected to play against West Virginia. Kevin Lewis (pectoral) and Justin Hamilton (left ankle) also practiced in blue and are listed as probable.

A new injury popped up, however. Lance Goff suffered a possible torn left ACL today during practice. He will be evaluated Friday by Head Team Physician P. Gunnar Brolinson D.O., and orthopedic surgeon Marc Siegel M.D. Goff is out for tomorrow's jayvee game.
