Pittsburgh Game Picked Up By ESPN
College GameDay to be at Heinz Field

The BIG EAST Conference announced Monday morning that the Nov. 8 football contest between No. 5 Virginia Tech and No. 25 Pittsburgh will be nationally televised by ESPN. The game will kick off at 7:45 p.m. The Florida State-Clemson game will be shown on ESPN2.

Additionally, ESPN College GameDay will be going to Pittsburgh this Saturday for the game. College GameDay features Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and Rocket Ismail. The show's pregame segment runs from 10:30 a.m., to noon and then has reports throughout the day, including the 11 p.m., edition of "SportsCenter."

The game is a matchup of aspiring BIG EAST champions and Heisman hopefuls. Pittsburgh wideout Larry Fitzgerald and Virginia Tech tailback Kevin Jones are considered two of the frontrunners for this year's award.

The Panthers are 6-2, 3-0 BIG EAST following their 24-13 victory at Boston College. Virginia Tech is 7-1, 3-1 in the conference following its 31-7 win over Miami. Pittsburgh is looking for its third consecutive victory over the Hokies.
