BLACKSBURG, VA - The Virginia Tech Athletics Department, in conjunction with ISP Sports, will produce a series of weeklong radio programs culminating with the Sugar Bowl game broadcast between Virginia Tech and Florida State in New Orleans.

Special Sugar Bowl-editions of the Hokie Hotline radio show will originate from the lobby of the New Orleans Hilton Hotel on December 30, 31 and January 1, 2 and 3. The 90-minute talk show featuring Tech coaches as well as regional and national guests will air from 7-8:30 p.m. eastern time on the five nights preceding the Nokia Sugar Bowl game. The shows have been cleared state-wide and will be carried by the nearly 50-affiliated radio stations which comprise the Tech ISP Sports Network. The toll-free number for callers is (800) 944-TECH.

On game night, the network's coverage of the Nokia Sugar Bowl game between Tech and Florida State begins at 6:00 p.m. eastern time with a two hour pre-game show. The Point After, the network's 90-minute post-game show, will air following the game. Tech's boradcast team of Bill Roth and Mike Burnop will host the radio talk shows and call the game from the Superdome.

In addition to the nearly 50 radio stations in Virginia, fans in New Orleans will be able to listen to the game in the Superdome. The Tech ISP Radio Network will be broadcasting the network's feed of the game on an FM signal at the upper end of the FM dial. According to the engineers, they won't know the exact frequency until they get into the Dome, but somewhere between 106.1 and 107.9 on the FM dial.
