Foster Among Finalists for Broyles Award
Award given to top assistant coach

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Bud Foster, defensive coordinator-inside linebackers coach, is among the six finalists for the Broyles Award, given to the top college assistant coach in the nation.

In addition to Foster, the finalists are Florida receivers coach Dwayne Dixon, LSU offensive coordinator-quarterbacks coach Jimbo Fisher, Miami defensive coordinator Randy Shannon, Fresno State offensive coordinator-quarterbacks coach Andy Ludwig and Texas defensive coordinator Carl Reese.

Named for longtime Arkansas athletic director Frank Broyles, the winner will be announced Dec. 12. Nominations for the award were submitted by head coaches; a panel of former head coaches picked the finalists.

The winner receives $5,000 and a bronze statue.
