Large production crew to converge on Blacksburg
August 12, 2005

ESPN has selected Virginia Tech as one of three college football programs to spotlight in a feature on one of Tech's practices. The network will begin to roll into town on Sunday to set up for taping of Monday morning's practice. As many as eight cameras, two lifts, a full production truck and much more will all be used in taping the first of Monday's two practices.

ESPN college football announcers Dave Pasch, Trevor Matich and Rod Gilmore will be roaming the sidelines and field with commentary while the cameras roll on all aspects of Tech's 107-minute practice. The network will waste little time in airing the show, broadcasting it at 1 p.m., on ESPN.

Virginia Tech, along with Tennessee and LSU will be featured on the broadcasts. The Tennessee practice will air Wednesday, Aug. 17 at noon on ESPN while LSU's practice will be shown at 1 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 19 on ESPN.
