Chick-fil-A Bowl preview show to premiere Dec. 27
Chick-fil-A Bowl Nuggets
December 21, 2006

ATLANTA - To help build anticipation for one of the nation's most exciting bowl games and awareness for its new name, Atlanta-based Career Sports & Entertainment, Inc. (CS&E) has partnered with the Chick-fil-A Bowl to produce the Chick-fil-A Bowl Preview Show that will air on the ESPN family of networks beginning Dec. 27.

After nine years of being known as the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, this year's clash between Virginia Tech of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the University of Georgia of the Southeastern Conference has been re-named the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

The 30-minute preview show, hosted by ESPN personalities Lee Corso, Erin Andrews and Mark Zona, will feature in-depth profiles of the Hokies and Bulldogs, including interviews with coaches and players. The show will also take a look back at the great moments in the 39-year history of this marquee bowl, which is known for its tightly contested games, sellout crowds and large television audiences. Other features of the show will include a visitor's guide to the city of Atlanta, a look at Chick-fil-A's scholarship impact on the participating schools, and a preview of the 2006 Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award.

"We are excited that the Chick-fil-A Bowl selected CS&E to redefine the Chick-fil-A Bowl Preview Show with a fresh new approach to its production style, format, and graphics as part of Chick-fil-A's substantial commitment to the bowl and the city of Atlanta," said Jamie Sims, CS&E vice president of creative services. "Not only will this show provide fans with an in-depth preview of this year's teams, it will give them a unique look at both on- and off-the-field aspects of this game and showcase Atlanta as a first-class host for this exciting game."

Airdates for the show are Dec. 27 at 11:30 p.m. on ESPNU, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. on ESPN, Dec. 29 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN Classic, and Dec. 30 at 5 a.m. on ESPNU.

The Chick-fil-A Bowl, the oldest ACC versus SEC matchup in the college bowl lineup, will be played on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 8 p.m. inside the Georgia Dome. The game has sold out 10 years in a row, and over the last 20 years, it ranks as the most competitive bowl game in college football.
