All Virginia Tech alumni and fans are cordially invited to THE OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE WELCOME BACK PICNIC on Sunday, Aug. 12 in Cassell Coliseum at Virginia Tech. The event is hosted by the Blacksburg Hokie Club and the delicious menu is being donated entirely by The Outback Steakhouse for the 10th consecutive year and donated by ISP Sports. There will be steak, chicken, mushrooms, Caesar salad, rolls and cake for dessert. Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m., and conclude at 7:30 p.m. The meal will be served from 5:30 p.m., to 6:30 p.m., and will be followed by a program. Tickets must be purchased in advance for $15 per adult and $5 for children 12 & under. Tickets may be purchased at A Cleaner World (540-951-9506) [103 King Street, Blacksburg].
All guests at the event will be asked to enter Cassell Coliseum through the front entrance on Washington Street.
All proceeds from the event will benefit athletic scholarships and facilities. Special guests at THE OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE WELCOME BACK PICNIC will be head coach Frank Beamer, the entire 2007 football team and other guests from the Athletic Department and University Administration. Bill Roth, "Voice of the Hokies", and his sidekick Mike Burnop will emcee the event. The strength and conditioning awards will be presented to the football team by Coach Mike Gentry. There will be autograph sessions with the entire football team at 7:00 p.m. All guests are limited to one autograph item.
