September 19, 2007

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced Wednesday that Saturday's football game between the Hokies and William & Mary will be broadcast on ACC Select, a broadband network. The 1:30 p.m., game time will not be affected and it still will not be on live television. Greg Roberts will have the call of the game.

The ACC Select network already streams Virginia Tech sports like men's and women's soccer, softball, women's basketball, baseball, volleyball, lacrosse, tennis, track and others that are not available through traditional broadcast and cable television distribution.

If you already have a subscription to ACC Select, you will be able to watch Saturday's game like you would a normal event on the network's Internet site. Fans wishing to watch the game may purchase a single-event pass for $4.99. Click on the event and then sign up.

Fans can visit http://vt.accselect.com to sign up or view a schedule of events. Fans can watch events live or on-demand on a per-event basis or with an all-event pass, which will allow unlimited access to Virginia Tech games and will also allow Hokie fans to check out the competition throughout the ACC. The all-event pass is $9.99 per month.

ACCSelect.com is a partnership among Turner Broadcasting, Raycom Sports and Lincoln Financial in cooperation with the Atlantic Coast Conference and its member schools to broadcast events online that are not televised. ACC Select is a broadband experience that delivers to ACC fans the teams they care about and the games not available anywhere else. With full-screen video delivered right to the computer, ACC Select will provide access to events whenever fans want-live or on-demand.

Fans are encouraged to check their setup and connection speeds before the game to ensure they have the best experience possible.
