Lewis, Jr., decides not to return to Tech football program

The Virginia Tech football team opened preseason practice on Friday afternoon, with 104 players dressing out, but redshirt senior Kenny Lewis, Jr., was not one of them.

The tailback from Danville, Virginia, has decided not to return to the football program. Lewis played in 27 games during his career, starting eight of them. He rushed for 657 yards on 175 carries and scored nine rushing touchdowns in his career. He also caught 11 passes for 57 yards and a score.
