Antoine Hopkins suffers torn ACL
Defensive tackle lost for the season

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech junior defensive tackle Antoine Hopkins suffered a torn ACL in his right knee Saturday night in Tech’s loss to Clemson and will miss the rest of the season. He will have surgery Friday at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Hopkins, from Highland Springs, Va., had started the first five games for the Hokies, recording eight tackles.

The staff will determine his replacement this week.
