    Gouveia-Winslow to miss rest of season
    Linebacker suffers Lisfranc sprain in foot

    BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech starting outside linebacker Jeron Gouveia-Winslow suffered a Lisfranc sprain in his left foot in last Saturday’s win over Miami. The sprain was confirmed Thursday after the MRI was read and the redshirt junior will miss the rest of the season. He will undergo surgery next week at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg.

    He will be replaced by Alonzo Tweedy in the starting lineup with Nick Dew backing Tweedy up.
