Hokies' Roth to join NBC's Costas, ESPN's Shulman at June Sportscasting Seminar
Voice of the Hokies teams with other broadcasters for "One Day Ticket to Sportscasting Success" event

BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech Hokies’ Voice Bill Roth has been named as a speaker, and will join an all-star lineup at the One Day Ticket to Sportscasting Success seminar, June 11th, 2012 in Salisbury, N.C.

Roth will join NBC’s Bob Costas, ESPN’s Dan Shulman, Learfield Sports Broadcast Manager Tom Boman, Kansas State broadcaster Wyatt Thompson, Atlanta Falcons/Georgia Tech voice Wes Durham and former ESPN Radio Network host Jon Chelesnik during a day-long event tailored for aspiring sportscasters.

The seminar is part of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA) annual awards weekend.

“The event is for all radio and TV play-by-play broadcasters, sports talk hosts and anchors who are looking for their next job or want to maximize their earning potential in their current position,” STAA founder Chelesnik said. “Anyone seriously working to increase his market value won’t miss this seminar.”

Attendees will learn insider tips, tricks and secrets for achieving NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and major college play-by-play jobs, national sports talk shows and network sports update anchor positions. The event is being co-hosted by STAA and NSSA.
