    Virginia Tech to hold Spirit Day at Chick-fil-A on Friday, Aug. 23

    BLACKSBURG (hokiesports.com) - The Virginia Tech Athletics Department and Chick-fil-A Friday announced that the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Christiansburg will host a Virginia Tech Spirit Day event Friday, Aug. 23, to celebrate the Hokies’ football game against the University of Alabama. Members from the Virginia Tech cheerleading team and the Virginia Tech Pep Band, along with the HokieBird the Chick-fil-A “Eat Mor Chikin” Cow will all be in appearance from 5-6 p.m.

    Activities for kids and adults include autographs and photo opportunities with the HokieBird and the Chick-fil-A “Eat Mor Chikin” Cow. The Hokies and Crimson Tide square off in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at 5:30 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta and the game will be nationally televised on ESPN.
