Virginia Tech provides tickets to Corps of Cadets for Military Bowl
Uniformed members to be in attendance

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech Athletics Department has provided complimentary tickets to the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets for the Hokies’ upcoming Military Bowl against the University of Cincinnati on Dec. 27, 2014 in Annapolis, Maryland.

“Virginia Tech was founded on military principles. With us playing in the Military Bowl, we thought it would be appropriate to have the Corps of Cadets represent this great university,” said Whit Babcock, Virginia Tech Director of Athletics. “We reached out to Major General Fullhart and offered the Corps of Cadets complimentary tickets to the game. The attending members will be in uniform and we are continuing our efforts to make sure they are a visible part of the game-day atmosphere.”

“The Corps of Cadets represents the founding of the university and the principles of service and sacrifice on which it stands,” said Major General Randal Fullhart, Commandant of Cadets of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets. “A substantial number of our cadets go on to distinguished careers in the public and private sector…with the preponderance going on to serve in our country’s armed forces. We’re proud to be part of the Hokie Nation as we take part in this year’s Military Bowl and salute all veterans past and present for their service to the nation!”

The Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets (VTCC) is the military component of the student body at Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech received approximately 8,000 tickets for the bowl and sold out of them within 30 hours. Patrons who did not purchase through Virginia Tech may still purchase directly to
