BLACKSBURG – The first full week of February continued to provide plenty of headlines for the Hokies.

Vick, Graham conclude NFL careers
Super Bowl weekend began with QB Mike Vick announcing that he had officially hung up his cleats, while K Shayne Graham followed that up with a similar announcement on Monday. Both players will be remembered for their record-setting careers and a memorable finish in Morgantown, W.V. in 1999.

Five Hokies Named to 2016 All-ACC Academic Team
Led by three-time honoree Brandon Facyson, five Hokies were among the 66-member squad recognized for academic achievement.

Hokies’ Reunion in Redskins’ Secondary

The Washington Redskins announced they have hired former Tech defensive back and assistant coach Torrian Gray as their secondary coach. He’ll lead a position group that includes former Tech standouts DeAngelo Hall and Kendall Fuller.

Feb. 16 is Early-Bird Season Ticket Renewal Deadline

Virginia Tech season ticket renewals began on Thursday with pricing remaining at $350 for a fourth consecutive year. As a special “thank you” for loyal fans, any account that renews by Feb. 16 will receive a complimentary Hokies stadium blanket (one per account) available for pickup at the Spring Game.


Tech is No. 22 in Campus Insiders Preseason Rankings
The Hokies have made appearances in several way-too-early preseason polls. Coach Fuente’s squad made another Top 25 this week via Campus Insiders.
