Fuller brothers ready to shine in primetime

A pair of primetime contests featuring the Fuller brothers highlight the Hokies.

Thursday, Sept. 28

Green Bay at. Chicago – 8:25 p.m.

CB Kyle Fuller and the Chicago Bears travel to Lambeau Field to play the NFC North rival Packers. The Bears are coming off their first win of the season against the Steelers thanks to the strong play of Fuller. The Packers and the Bears are two of the oldest franchises in the NFL and have played each other 194 times with the series tied 94-94-6. Fuller tallied five solo tackles and two passes defended in last week’s overtime win against Pittsburgh.

Monday, Oct. 2

Washington at Kansas City – 8:30 p.m.

CB Kendall Fuller and the Washington Redskins travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Kansas City boasts the NFL’s No. 3 total offense and the No. 1 rushing offense. Both the Redskins and the Chiefs are coming off strong performances with the hope that it will carry over into the contest. Tech Alum Torian Gray is a member of the Redskins’ staff. LB Dadi Nicolas is still on the PUP list, recovering from a ruptured patellar tendon suffered week 17 of the 2016 season. Fuller finished his performance last week with three tackles a forced fumble and an interception against the Raiders.

Sunday, Oct. 1 Games Featuring Hokies

New Orleans vs. Miami – 9:30 a.m.

RB Trey Edmunds and the New Orleans Saints travel across the Atlantic to face the Miami Dolphins at Wembley Stadium. WR Isaiah Ford (Dolphins) and WR Corey Fuller (Saints) are on IR after sustaining injuries during the preseason.

Buffalo at Atlanta – 1:00 p.m.

QB Tyrod Taylor, TE Logan Thomas and the Buffalo Bills take on the 3-0 Atlanta Falcons at newly-opened Mercedes-Benz-Stadium. Tyrod and the Bills after having to play the No. 1 (Panthers) and No. 4 (Denver) total defenses will go against the No. 4 offense of the Falcons. Taylor completed 20 of 26 for 213 yards and two touchdowns and carried the ball eight times for 13 yards against the Broncos.

Carolina at New England – 1 p.m.

The No. 1 total defense of the Carolina Panthers is traveling to New England to try and to stop the league’s No. 1 offense. TE Bucky Hodges is on the practice squad for the Panthers.

Pittsburgh at Baltimore – 1 p.m.

S Chuck Clark and the Baltimore Ravens host divisional rival Pittsburgh Steelers at M&T Bank Stadium. The Ravens are coming off a tough 44-7 loss while the Steelers are coming off a 23-17 loss in overtime to the Bears. Clark recorded two tackles in the loss. TE Ryan Malleck is on the practice squad.

San Francisco at Arizona – 4:05 p.m.

Head coach Bruce Arians and the Arizona Cardinals play NFC West division rival San Francisco 49ers at University of Phoenix Stadium. The Cardinals are coming off a loss to the Cowboys while the 49ers are coming off a close 41-39 loss to the Rams. Tech Alum Nick Rapone serves as the defensive backs coach for the Cardinals’ staff. T Vinston Painter is on the Cardinals’ practice squad.

Indianapolis at Seattle – 8:30 p.m.

S Kam Chancellor and the Seattle Seahawks will look to get on track Sunday Night against the Indianapolis Colts with the help of the 12th man at CenturyLink Field. Chancellor finished the day with seven tackles and a tackle for loss.
