Kam Chancellor and the Seahawks take back first place in the NFC West

Seahawks 16, Rams 10

S Kam Chancellor and the Seattle Seahawks shut down the No. 5 offense of their NFC West rival L.A. Rams. The Seahawks are now on a two-game winning streak and hold the tiebreaker against the Rams for first place in their division. Chancellor finished the day with four tackles and a pass deflection. FB Sam Rogers is on the practice squad for the Rams. Former Hokies’ S Nick Sorenson serves as the secondary coach for the Seahawks.

Ravens 30, Raiders 17

S Chuck Clark and the Baltimore Ravens flew across the country and got the win against the Oakland Raiders. With the win, the Ravens snapped a two-game losing streak and are tied with the Steelers at 3-2 in the AFC North.

Bengals 20, Bills 16

QB Tyrod Taylor, TE Logan Thomas and the Buffalo Bills fell to the No. 2 defense of the Cincinnati Bengals. Taylor completed 20 of 37 passes for one touchdown and one interception. Taylor also carried the ball one time for three yards. Thomas had one catch for three yards, his first catch of the season, which came courtesy of Taylor.

Vikings 20, Bears 17

CB Kyle Fuller and the Chicago Bears lost on a last second field goal to the Minnesota Vikings. Fuller finished the day with four tackles and a pass deflection.

Eagles 34, Cardinals 7

Head Coach Bruce Arians and the Arizona Cardinals fell to the No.3 offense of the Philadelphia Eagles.T Vinston Painter is on the practice squad for the Cardinals. Tech Alum Nick Rapone serves as the defensive backs coach for the Cardinals’ staff while alums Eugene Chung and Keith Gray are both on the Eagles’ staff.

Panthers 27, Lions 24

The Panthers and their No. 3 defense was able to do enough to stop the Detroit Lions from completing their comeback. TE Bucky Hodges is a member of the Panthers practice squad.

Chiefs 42, Texans 34

The Kansas City Chiefs and their No. 2 offense defeated the Houston Texans. With the win, the Chiefs extend their win streak to five and remain the only undefeated team in the NFL. LB Dadi Nicolas is still on the PUP list after suffering a ruptured patella tendon in week 17 of the 2016 season.

Dolphins 16, Titans 10

The Miami Dolphins snapped their two game losing streak against the Tennessee Titans. WR Isaiah Ford is on the IR after suffering an injury during the preseason.
