Tech Golf Tied For Second After First Round
Hokies have four golfers sitting amongst tournament leaders

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Virginia Tech golf team shot a first round 7-under par 281 and currently is tied with Rhode Island for second place in the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate today. The tournament is played at the Bradford Creek Golf Club, a par-72 course.
The tournament was originally to be a 54-hole event, playing 36 holes today and 18 more tomorrow, but because of inclement weather, they played 18 today and will play 18 more tomorrow. Virginia Commonwealth is the team leader, shooting a nine-under par 281.
Tech sophomore Johnson Wagner, sophomore Eric Reynolds and freshman Brendan de Jonge are tied to sixth place individually, firing two-under par 70 in today's round. Sophomore Brian Krusoe shot a one-under par 71 for the Hokies. Reg Millage of Virginia Commonweatlh and Mike Sabo of Miami, Ohio, are currently at the top of the leader board, shooting four-under par 68.
The final 18-hole round of the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate will be played tomorrow.
