Final Round of Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championship Cancelled
Krusoe, Hokies finish in third place

AIKEN, S.C. - Heavy rain and winds forced cancellation of the final round of the Cleveland Golf Collegiate Championship Tuesday morning. Virginia Tech finished in third place, after shooting a 586 in Monday's first two rounds played at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C.
Hokie Brian Krusoe finished tied for third place, after shooting 141, four strokes off the lead. Krusoe's second round, 66, was tied for the lowest round of the tournament. Brendon de Jonge shot 145 and tied for seventh place. Chris McKeel shot 150, good for a tie for 25th place and Johnson Wagner shot 151 and tied for 29th place. Ryan Stinnett shot 153 and tied for 38th place.
Wake Forest won the 15-team tournament after shooting 577 on day one. Augusta State was second with a 583, three strokes better than the Hokies. Kansas was fourth with a 588 and Virginia Commonwealth was fifth with a 592.
The Hokies stay in the Palmetto State this week, as they compete in the Furman Intercollegiate this weekend in Greenville, S.C.
