Virginia Tech One Stroke Out of Lead at ODU Tournament
De Jonge Leads After First Round

KITTY HAWK, NC (Oct. 30) - Virginia Tech shot a 286 and trails Furman by one stroke after the first round at the 21st annual Old Dominion University/Seascape Collegiate Golf Tournament.
Tech's Brendon De Jonge (Harare, Zimbabwe) fired a seven under par 65 and is the individual leader by three strokes over Ricardo Bescansa of Coastal Carolina.
Hokie team captain Brian Krusoe (Northfield, Oh.) is tied for 11th place overall, after shooting an even-par 72, while Ryan Stinnett (Amherst, Va.) is tied for 33rd, with a two over par 74. Johnson Wagner (Garrison, N.Y.) shot 75 and Chris McKeel (Wilson, N.C.) had an 81 to round out the scoring for the Hokies.
Coastal Carolina shot a 291 for third place, followed by Long Beach State at 292 in fourth place and Maryland at 295 in fifth place. The final round will be played at the par-72, 6,115-yard Seascape Golf Course in Kitty Hawl, N.C. on Oct. 31.
