Wilmington, N.C. -- Virginia Tech shot a second round 307 and is in sixth place with a total of 597 entering Sunday's final round of The Landfall Tradition at the 6,997 yard, par-72 Pete Dye Course of the Country Club at Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.
Junior Ryan Stinnett (Amherst, Va.) is tied for 19th place with a two-round total of 147. Redshirt sophomore Scott Wise (Roanoke, Va.) is in 21st place at 148. Senior Brendon de Jonge (Harare, Zimbabwe) is tied for 25th place at 150 and senior Chris McKeel (Wilson, N.C.) is tied for 31st at 152. Freshman Joel Kraner (Dublin, Oh.) is tied for 55th at 164.
Host UNC Wilmington leads the event at 574, two strokes ahead of defending national champion Minnesota at 576. Duke is third at 581 and Missouri is fourth at 585. Purdue is fifth at 586, 11 strokes ahead of the Hokies at 597.
