NEW YORK (AP) - Brendan Dunlop, who sent the game into overtime on a 3-pointer with 1.6 seconds remaining, scored 17 points to lead five double-figure scorers as Virginia Tech outlasted Fordham 79-75 Saturday in an Atlantic 10 conference game.

Dunlop's shot tied the game 65-65 at the end of regulation as the Hokies (10-12, 5-7) rallied from a 10-point deficit in the final 1:09.

Dennis Mims followed with 16 points for Virginia Tech, which is now 6-0 against the Rams. Rolan Roberts added 14 and Eddie Lucas and Jermaine Kimbrough each had 10.

Alejandro Olivares had a game-high 23 points for the Rams (10-12, 3-9), followed by Bevon Robin with 20 and Jason Harris with 19. Harris made 6 of 11 3-point shots.

Harris sank the front end of two free throws to give Fordham a 63-53 lead with 1:09 to play and then the Hokies, who have won four of their last six, went on a 12-2 run to draw even. Dunlap scored seven points during the spurt.

Dunlop converted a pair of free throws to start the overtime and the Hokies never trailed again.
