Eight Virginia Tech BIG EAST Games to be Televised
Hokies open conference play at Pittsburgh, Jan. 6
December 23, 2003

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Virginia Tech will have eight BIG EAST Conference men's basketball games televised this season. The games are in conjunction with television contracts negotiated by the BIG EAST Conference.

All eight conference games will be broadcast live on ESPN Plus, the BIG EAST Conference's regional syndicator. Eight ESPN Plus games will be televised to local markets. Two of those games, Tech's home game against West Virginia on Feb. 28 and its BIG EAST regular season finale at Georgetown, will be broadcast live as the BIG EAST Conference Game of the Week.

The first televised conference game of the season will be on Tuesday, Jan. 6, as the Hokies play at Pittsburgh in the Peterson Events Center. All televised Virginia Tech games this season, with the exception of the Jan. 17 home game against Miami, will also be offered on the ESPN Full Court package.

Virginia Tech appeared in two televised non-conference games earlier this season, at Virginia on Nov. 28 as part of the ACC television package and at Ohio State on Dec. 6 on ESPN Regional Television. A total of 10 games will be televised this season.
