Fan Information for Dec. 10 Basketball Games
December 9, 2005

BLACKSBURG, Va. - This Saturday's double-header of men's and women's basketball games promises to provide an exciting day. The men's team tips off with St. John's at 4 p.m. and the women's team will take on Liberty at 7 p.m. in Cassell Coliseum.

With the short time between games, the Virginia Tech Athletics Department would like to ask that the following accomodations be made for fans of both team's.

  1. Those holding a ticket to the men's game are invited and welcome to stay for the women's game. However, fans holding just a men's ticket and not a reserved ticket of the women's game must move to General Admission seating, located in sections 5,7,13 and 15, or seats located above Row "W" in all sections prior to the start of the women's game.

  2. Those people not staying for the women's game are asked to exit the Coliseum and parking lots as quickly as possible to make room for those fans arriving solely for the women's game.

Since the men's game is sold out, fans holding women's tickets will not be admitted until shortly after the conclusion of the men's game. Those wishing to listen to the conclusion of the men's game in their car can tune to 105.3 FM.

Also, since the men's game is sold out, parking will be very tight. Should the Cassell Coliseum lot fill up, the next closest parking lots will be Lot 2, behind Lane Stadium, Lot 4, behind the Tech softball field and the Litton-Reeves Lot, off Washington Street. All three of these lots will be open to anyone, regardless of permit, after the men's game tips off.

The Athletics Department would like to thank you in advance for helping us make this day as fun, safe and stress-free as possible, both for yourself and your fellow Hokies.
