BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Virginia Tech will host the #15/17 Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday afternoon in Cassell Coliseum. Both teams enter the contest unbeaten.

About Today’s Game

The Hokies are 6-0 on the season after defeating Iowa, 95-79, in Cassell Coliseum on Tuesday in ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Oklahoma State is 5-0 on the season after defeating Portland State, 81-58, on Sunday.

The Cowboys are ranked 15th in the AP poll and 17th in the coaches poll.

Virginia Tech leads the all-time series, 3-0.

Virginia Tech 95, Iowa 79

Erick Green scored 24 points to lead the Hokies to a 95-79 win over Iowa on Tuesday in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge..

Robert Brown added 18 points and Jarell Eddie and C.J. Barksdale each scored 11 points in the win. Joey van Zegeren scored a career-high 10 points for Tech.

The New Boss

This season marks the head coaching debut of James Johnson.

Johnson earned his first head coaching victory with an 80-62 win over ETSU.

Green is Honored

Erick Green has been named the ACC Co-Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 25. He recorded back-to-back career-highs in scoring during that span.

Team Notes

The Hokies are off to the team’s best start since the 1981-82 season.

The Hokies are sixth nationally in scoring offense and tied for 22nd in free throw percentage.

Player Notes

Erick Green leads the ACC in scoring and Jarell Eddie is third in the league in scoring.

Will Johnston has made 10 career field goals. All 10 are three-pointers. He hit three of them in the win over VMI, setting a new career-high of nine points and matched that number in the win at UNC Greensboro.
