Green needs three points to reach 700 for the season.

    Player Notes

Will Johnston made his first career start at Virginia and has started three games since.

    Odds & Ends

Erick Green’s 35 points in the home loss to Virginia marks the most points by an ACC player in a game this season. Green has three of the ACC’s eight 30-plus point games this season.

The Hokies have played in four of the six overtime games played this season by ACC teams. Tech defeated Georgia Tech and lost at UNC and at NC State in the only ACC conference overtime games this season.

The Hokies started four Virginians at Virginia. All five starters graduated from high schools in Virginia.

    Thank You Seniors

Erick Green is the lone senior basketball player to be honored at tonight’s Senior Night activities. He will be joined on the court for pre-game ceremonies by senior student managers Andrew Clark and Thomas Lukish. The Virginia Tech Athletics Department would like to thank all three young men for their hard work and dedication to the program.
